So kiddies left on Saturday night, and Cherry on Tuesday night but she is back in 2 weeks. New resolution is to get up early and go for a ride before work.
Wed - Set alarm for 5:45, but only managed to get going at 7:15 for an easy 21km around AlJasra.
Thurs - Pool training for rescue diving on Wednesday evening postponed so early night meant got out for 32KM ride at 6:15. Lesson learned: Argh, horrible traffic despite early hour. Don't cycle past BDF and along pipeline road on a weekday morning.
Found a great site http://www.instamapper.com/ that enables the BB Bold to send its GPS position at intervals and get plotted on Google Maps. If the battery life survives this will be a cool way of seeing where we are each day on the ride. Put a widget for displaying this on this blog roll.
Friday - started out with Awali Wheelers and soon ended up in a back group of 3. Wet road, but did 75km.
Saturday - new route to Riffa Fort, through Riffa, down Zallaq highway, Al Areen and Banyan Tree. Breakfast at Fuds, then home for 70km. Gusty wind and blobby rain, good training! Lesson learned - need to refuel every 2 hours. Spin/Abs in evening and off to Andrew's picture launch at Lina's.
This blog is too cool.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your piece of homework, I'll try to get to all these things, sunrise from the TOP of Mt. Fiji will be a bit of an ask, but my try my best.
The best part of your blog is: "Set alarm for 5:45, but only managed to get going at 7:15 for an easy 21km around AlJasra" - it's like me and swimming, welcome to my world. You seem to be training hard, so you must be losing weight which is another plus.
Sorry I didn't answer, I've been all busy with the PADI and having loads of fun. That question was pretty google proof. At first, I thought it was 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon' but on my second google, it seemed the answer has to be 'The Princess Bride'?
You'll be happy to know where I've stayed the last couple of days, I've done a bit of planning so I'm pretty much set up for the rest of my trip. I'm glad I didn't plan so much before as it's been good to cross paths with everyone coming round the world the other way and saying what's hot and what's not in Oz and NZ.
He's a google-able question for you: what event is also known as 'Kháng chiến chống Mỹ'? And what does that phrase mean exactly?
See ya later, unc.
